Amaryllis Bloom
I shot this time-lapse over 6 days (Jan 7-13th, 2003) at one frame every 10 minutes. The flower might have bloomed faster had I used a full-spectrum bulb instead of the 40 watt tungsten bulb to illuminate it - perhaps next time. The 20 and 30 minutes between frames movies provide a faster blooming sequence.
30 minutes between frames: 240x320 (0.94 MB)
480x640 (1.54 MB)
20 minutes between frames: 240x320 (1.32 MB)

Puzzle Construction
I shot this time-lapse with my brother-in-law James over about two hours (in two pieces - we had a holiday party to attend right in the middle!) on Dec 28th 2002. I used a wide-angle lens that I had borrowed from a friend of mine, which we couldn't have done without. The frames were captured every seven seconds.
7 seconds between frames: 320x240 (4.69 MB)
640x480 (7.08 MB)
14 seconds between frames: 320x240 (2.42 MB)

Out The Office Window
This is the view out my office window in downtown Salt Lake City. This was taken over approximately 8 hours on Friday, April 25, 2003 at one shot every 5 minutes. I thought that a storm was going to be blowing in and was hoping to capture some cool cloud formations. But (obviously), the storm didn't come. However, the shots still made for a nice time-lapse.

Building Closet Shelves
Remlee wanted a different arrangement in one of our closets, so Brad and I undertook the project of providing some hanging shelves. It took us aobut 3 hours of rounding up the gear and materials and about 3 hours to measure, cut, hang and finish the shelves. Here's the short version (one shot every 3 minutes, in retrospect, I should have gone one every minute - April 27th 2003).

Rolling a Snowman
While Ray, Ann and their son Nathan were staying with us over Christmas 2003, we had a huge snowstorm. So, we all bundled up and headed out into the storm to build a snowman using the kit that Rob and Amanda had given us the previous Christmas. Here's a time-lapse of the whole process (plus some of us clearing the walk). Look for a special guest appearance by Nathan near the end!
